Our Philosphy
Here at TuiTui Educare we base our philosophy on a rich array of experiences and relationships that tamariki embark upon on their learning journey. We seek to acknowledge parent aspirations around the care and education of their child.
TuiTui Educare is a play-based and place-based center that values tamariki to be the heart of what we do, our teaching practice is inspired by Reggio Emilia, Magda Gerber and RIE approach. We embrace the 4 main principles and 5 strands that underpin woven links in our high-quality learning curriculum Te Whāriki.
We believe the environment plays an important role in children’s learning. We are dedicated to providing an environment that is purposely built for the learning and well-being of tamariki, encompassing a safe, warm, inviting, caring and nurturing hapu.Tamariki are given equitable opportunities to developing positive self-esteem that incorporates confidence and competence developing their learning journey that will enable them to contribute to society.
We recognise and value our bicultural practices, acknowledging Te tiriti o Waitangi as our dual heritage of Aotearoa. This is embedded in our understanding of whakawhanaungatanga (building strong relationships) of:
